Monthly Soft Plastic Recycling Depot

Awareness raising about the need to protect and replant the urban forest.

Awareness raising about climate change.

Educational campaign on the need to reduce engine idling.

Completed Activities and Projects
In August 2006, Tree Protection Bylaw 4326 was formally adopted.

On February 12, 2007 Oak Bay Council Meeting, Mayor and Municipal Council members voted unanimously in support of a Climate Crisis Task Force.

The Oak Bay Green Committee and Green Gatherings ran an campaign to eliminate engine idling in Oak Bay and surrounding communities in 2007.

Fundraising Initiatives
Soft Plastic Recycling Depot held on the fourth Saturday of every month at Carnarvan Park in Oak Bay. From 9:30 -11:30.
